Default Problems with prestigious society at dealership???

I installed the prestigious society override in 2010 and now need to take my car in for service. Do I need to remove the override first or should it be okay to leave in? Has anyone had any problems with a dealership giving you trouble for having this installed? I appreciate the feedback.

If there is no problem with nav,cd player or anything around the override kit you should be fine.

When I wanted to fix my dash squeaks, the first question they asked me was, if I have any override kits or if I've messed with any wires? They said they wont fix anything if I've done any of those things....

what type of service? I never had a problem with my car at the dealer and mine is in plain sight right under the navi unit.

I don't see how squeaky dash has anything to do with the electrical system.

it doesnt and a dealer shouldnt give you a problem with it but if they want to be a pita they can always say removing the navi unit could have caused the problem.

its just something for the dealer to lean on if they dont feel like doing the work.

lol, but they find any reason to brush you off

sorry if i missed OP's point. but yes, if you bring in for anything related to the dash or electrical system, i would say take out as well. you don't want to give them another reason. but if you bring it in for services like oil changes (that's what i had in mind), then i think it's ok

I have found that the dealer is happy to try to address concerns such as rattles on the corporate (warranty) tab.

I actually asked them this question.... They said that if I took my dashboard apart to install the kit, I probably messed something up in the process, which is why the dashboard is squeaky now. Hence, its no longer covered under warranty. Of course we all know its all BS! The car comes with squeaky dash from the factory

Thanks for all the input. My check engine light came on and the warning says "check vsp". I already checked my gas cap as I understand that this can cause the error. I also need to take it in for the 60k service in about 6 months. During the 60k service, don't they change the cabin air filter, and isn't it behind the glove box? If so, I'm a little worried the service techs will mess something up with the module since it isn't factory...but maybe I'm worried for nothing.

Thanks again.
