Did you trade in your gs300 for a new gs450h? or did you trade it for a used one? Regardless congrats.
yeah I traded for a used 2007 GS 450h I had to many things I wanted to do to the car and the total was huge it just made sense and the dealer I bought the car from was giving me a deal.

how sweet was this deal if you don't mind sharing?

I probably wouldn't trade this car for another GS since I did too many mods already, but if i did buy a new car later in my life, I probably would buy something that has more performance (even more so than the gs460 and 450h.) M3, M5, S5, something along those lines. The GS is an amazing luxury car imo, but it's really not meant to be a fast sports car. (well atleast not yet, maybe the GS-F?)

For my car they gave me $22,500 and they sold the GS 450h to me for $28,900 with Lojack installed. Car had a lot of miles in my opinion 45,233 but it's hard to find these in Boston let alone the wintry eastern coast! Funny thing is I called looking for an extended warranty and this is what I got. And couldn't be happier

Finally the moment we have all been waiting for (well some of us), 4 piston gs350 front calipers on the gs300 awd. (I also installed new oem rotors and brake pads all around)

First of all, I ran into problems because sewell sent me RWD front rotors when they don't fit the AWD front hub. I ran to a great mom n pop auto store (Miele auto) and luckily for me they had AWD gs350 front rotors in the factory and had them shipped for the last shipment of the day. (Mind you, we started this project at around 1 and ended at 630pm thanks to wrong parts [had to wait 2 hours for it to come into the store] and having to beat off the rust on the old rotors and calipers).

So far after only 30min of driving, the brakes already feel more powerful and responsive. There is a squeel at the moment, but it seems to be due to the manufacturer painting too far onto the face of the rotor, therefore it's hitting the brakepads and making noise, but i was told this will stop once the paint is stripped from the face of the rotor (so basically it's not a problem)

On a side not, I just looked at the calipers which i took off and they are only 1 caliper, one large caliper on one side to be exact. So whoever said the 06 gs300 calipers were 2 calipers are wrong!

Those brakes look nice. I tried to go to the sewell website and couldn't find those calipers. Do you have a specific part number or the link to the part? Are the rear calipers and rotors the same on the 06?

Thanks

They would be under the IS section of the website. At work now, but I could post a link later tonight. The rear rotors n calipers are the same as the 06, I just replace my rear rotors w new ones. I thought I might as well since I'm changing the fronts

Is this the link?

Am I seeing correctly that it is $379.79 for each side? Is this for the rotors too? I just want loaded calipers.

almost bigblack, but here is the correct link with no typo LOL

http://is.sewellparts.com/accessorie...2007/2045.html

If you have an 06 GS, you need to order the front rotors too..If you have AWD make sure to specify you need the AWD Rotors! Don't make the mistake I did, do it right the first time.

PS make sure to make an account first and link in your club lexus member name, you will get special pricing...very nice feature!
