I agree with the feeling of the BMW. It handles amazing and has great steering feel that tightens when driving on highways and back roads and gives an easy turning effort in parking lot. I enjoy the smooth powerful engine and the comfort and technology. IT really is a big step up from the Lexus and from past BMWs.

I think your house is drawing more attention than your car! It definitely is a step up in power from the GS300 to the 535 so you might want to invest in a good radar detector.
Congrats on the new ride. I like your driveway BTW.

Totally different cars...both with good points and a few issues
I agree with everyone! Nice car, lovely house, and 3G Lexus is great too.
I currently drive the 3G Lexus GS350 RWD but my other car is the 2008 5 series with the sport package.
Two different cars!
My Lexus is my daily driver, grocery getter, errand runner...no problems, no drama, kinda bland but in a cool way (even after doing the exhaust and F-Sport upgrades). Good power, reliable car but annoying frequent maintenance intervals and the dealer nickle/dimes you anytime he touches the car.
My 5 series is the go to car for any distance or spirited driving...lot of feel, control, and connection with the car...steering and handling feel, feedback, plus articulated sport seats support and hold you in place. So, the car handles and sounds (even without aftermarket upgrades) Yes, maintenance is paid for, including brakes/rotors, up to 50K! I've had 4 other BMWs (5 series as well) and yes...after the warranty and free maintenance is up, it'll start costing you BUT not any more/less that any other luxury brand sedan in terms of frequency and cost.
Truth be told, if you take out the $10-12K price difference at MSRP, the 5 series, at least for me, is less expensive to own on a day to day basis.
So, I live and love two different cars...each for their own attributes. But it fits my split personality just right. Not for everyone but something for everyone.
