mmade22, for what it's worth, I have followed this thread since day one and have thoroughly enjoyed every single update you have posted. In fact, even during "dormant" periods for the thread, I found myself searching to see if there were any updates I had missed!
You are indeed an inspiration, and I am blown away by all the work that you have done and how pristine you managed to keep your GS. Beyond saying congratulations on that gorgeous 460L, I wish you the very best with it and cannot wait to see what lies ahead for it! Thank you for sharing all the photos - a pretty solid start

I thank you for the kind words. I never thought I could get goose bumps from reading responses in this thread!
Thank you all for following my journey along the six years and 300,000 miles!
One chapter has closed here but Chapter 2 has begun over in the LS forms so please join me along the way:

I'm a little late to the game, but loved reading every page of this thread! I just bought myself an 06 GS430 with 97K on the clock after a nearly year long search. I didn't want one with high miles, but settled after I couldn't find one with low miles. People don't want to let go of these cars if they're well maintained, so consider yourself lucky when you find a well maintained Lexus like that LS you just got. I also have an 02 GS430 that is just shy of 200K miles. I've owned almost every model from Lexus, and if I haven't owned it, my parents, grandparents or brother have. We've been with Lexus since the beginning. We have strayed a few times to other brands (Mercedes, Infiniti, Porsche, etc.), but we always end up back at Lexus. I have to ask, what did you use to keep that leather in the GS350 looking so good after 300k miles?

Glad to hear you were able to find a well kept GS. As far as the leather goes.... Keep it out of the sun!! No direct sunlight. I always used the windshield shade when it was parked and I always had it in the garage when I was home. I also cleaned and conditioned the drivers seat about every 3-4 weeks. The other seats I did every other month. Keeping the leather wet with the conditioner and not letting it get hot due to the sun is the key to extending the life and looks of it. I'm trying my best to get my drivers seat on my LS this way because the previous owner didn't do her part.
Do you have a preference in conditioner? I keep mine garaged both at work and home, so hoping it stays as nice as the prior owner kept it.
