Excellent work on maintaining your car properly! Definitely shows just how well a Lexus can hold up against the miles.

I feel like a school girl waiting for this guy to update this thread...it's easily my favorite thread on this entire site. I hope he takes his car to 1,000,000 miles - at the rate he drives, it's certainly possible. I know a guy who puts 60,000 miles a year on his car, but he usually dumps them when they approach 300,000...it'd be awesome to see someone take it to a million. I know it's been done before, but it's usually not documented like this.

Hey fellas! I want to say that I am sorry that I haven't kept this thread active on my part. A lot of course is going on and I feel like I never get the time to do much of anything anymore. Life gets in the way but I finally can fill you in on the GS and its current state to date.

The GS is by far the best car I've ever owned to date....PERIOD!

Lets get everyone up to speed since we last talked......

Lets go back to the 300,000 mile service....

I had the BC Racing coilovers replaced with new ones and they've been doing their part to keep the ride happy.

I did decide to go ahead and replace my transmission and engine mounts to keep everything tight:

It was at the 60,000 mile service interval so the plugs had to be changed:

Had to clean up the F-Sport air filter:

That's a lot of trapped dirt. It looks like it has been doing its job

The Throttle body needed a service:

I took it to the dealer to get the transmission flush service performed and an all around checkup. She passed with no issues!

I also performed a coolant flush and a good detailing of the car. She is alive and well for another 60,000 miles.

Same here! Btw, is it really ok pushing the electronic throttle valve up so much? I recall reading somewhere that it messes up the units calibration?

Wow. Amazing that you have those kind of miles on it. I hope i can get 200,000 out of mine. Need to keep it a long time to justify the cost of a Lexus. Is this the same motor as in the RX350?

Yes you are right about that but I never had the problem. I was careful and slow. I tried it once with the key on and had my son push the accelerator but the valve never opened so I did it that way. I've been told you can have issues but I have been lucky this far.

I decided to lay out all the receipts showing each oil change. Some of these are 3 weeks apart but most are thirty days apart.

After each oil change I do get at least a quart low. Sometimes two. The dealer assured me that this is normal as I asked them many times

This is after the 300,000 miles and at its end with 5,000 miles on it. You can still see how golden brown the oil is:

I finally put a years worth of oil into the truck and brought it to the recycling center. That's a lot of 5 quart jugs:

This past weekend I performed a front brake service. Again, this is the easiest brakes to do so please save some money and do them yourself:

The car up on jacks sitting next to another piece of machinery that was engineered and built in Japan....

I'd say I got my moneys worth out of those pads. The sad thing is, I ordered these months ago and now I realized I got the heavy dust pads and not the Blue ones that were on the car. I'm not sure I am going to be able to handle all this dust. Time will tell:

Time to remove the rotors. It's simple with the help of two 6mm screws:

Very nice, I love seeing someone take this good of care of their car. Also, I see you ditched the RX for a Denali, how do you like the switch?
