Default Mirror

My rear view mirror is all messed up and I'm wondering if any other Lexus rear view mirror will work or do I have to specifically get the GS mirror.

God these people and they're guessing questions, I would GUESS its shacking while you are driving, that would require a bolt behind it to be tightened or replaced.

Our GS is equipped with a electrochromic (auto dimming) rearview mirror. It is designed to minimize the reflection of headlights to your eyes coming in through the back glass.

If the OP is talking about the flaking and bunch of black spots then I have the same problem. I might order a Broadway mirror myself.

I've taken mine apart to do a V1 radar mod and the black dots can be fixed! Take your mirror apart, and you will find a black decal that was layed down. The dots that you re seeing are air bubbles that never got release. You can 1. buy a new mirror and prob have the same issue. 2. buy black vinyl sticker and lay down as if you were tinting a car with a bit of soap/water and push the air bubbles out. 3. deal with it.

side note: the decal on the mirror is a bit difficult to peal.. be really careful not to put to much pressure around other areas or else you will crack the mirror.

What size broadway mirror do you find to work best with the 3gs?
Do you prefer flat vs concave? I'm shopping for one, trying to decide between the differences.

^ type in winning lottery numbers for me and PM them over I promise I will share

Yea these mirrors are the way to go. Loved and miss mine from my GS!! I sent out the actual OEM mirror and had this done. Need to have this done on my S in the spring.

Another good option is the mirror that escort has to offer with navi (if your gs doesnt have) and I think radar but I could be wrong on that part.

I've heard of a LOT of people having the same mirror problem. The silver in the glass makes it look dirty almost like there is adhesive stuck on it. Luckily I had my CPO warranty cover it after my service guy fought with warranty department about safety issue.

I would go with an aftermarket cause the OEM mirrors are EXPENSIVE ($1k+), and might have the same problem over time.
