How Does Emergency Lights Work?

Do they work when ACC and IGN are "off" ?

And this is stock flasher btw...
Yes the emergency flashers work with or without engine on, you don't even need a key. The reason i said to use the flasher is so you can hear where it is, it makes a ticking sound. You can even feel the relay making the ticking.

Hey, no language problem! =)
I understood everything! (about the ticking sound from your 1st post here)

And installation of flasher should be not so hard as this MOD for example, which I made successfully in my previous IS250.

Actually I thought that you have problems with emergency lights too, since you said: "the only thing you lose is the confirmation light flash when locking or unlocking". Since "the confirmation light" also works when ACC and IGN are "OFF". That's why was my question. ^_^

I am just curious - is it possible to fix somehow 'the confirmation light' ?

Username32, thanx a lot for all your replies

p.s.
What kind of LEDs did you use in your turns?
V-Leds Double Color in Front ?

I just got my LEDS from V-LEDS about three hours ago, and just finished replacing my reverse, front side markers, turn signals, and flasher. Looks GREAT. Thanks for the research everyone, especially Renat.

I am disappointed however about the loss of the lock/unlock confirmation lights. Has anyone figured out a fix for this yet? Does it happen if you install resistors instead of the new flasher?

Not at all. Don't mention it.

I gave up this idea.
I don't want to change front turn signals to two color changing LED from now on.

Cuz I want to have 5000K everywhere. (all exterior lights)
And my 6000K 2-color LEDs won't be a good idea.

I know one GS owner from my country who just made the LED MOD. Double Color LED in tun signals.

Post some pics if he will make a couple of shots.

Risistors someway better!
Will be confirmation lights activate when unlock/lock doors.

Relay better for power consumption.
But no confirmation lights.

Resistors get just as hot as a bulb does. But since they're only being used when the turn signal is blinking it's not a big deal. Just keep them away from plastics.

I'm curious in case the hazards need to be left on for a long period of time.

So I have one question to kind of summarize everything. If i want to replace my regular turn signal light bulbs with LED bulbs, I have to replace the stock flasher with this one: http://www.v-leds.com/BlinkerWarning...57253-1-3.html? This is the better choice over the resistor because it doesn't produce a lot of heat.

in case people were wondering, this is how i have my resistors mounted. sorry for the crappy cell phone pic. i bought the resistor and mounting plate combo from v-leds. i unscrewed the nut from what i believe is the back of the taillights, put this on and screwed it back on. no drilling needed anywhere!

I still prefer the electronic flasher as the proper way to install led turnies. I really dislike the resistor trick or messing with any of the factory harness.
