Also consider the Bridgestone Turanza Serenity. That's what I'm getting next, unless Michelin comes out with the Primacy in 245/40/18. You can check them out here http://www.tirerack.com/tires/survey....jsp?type=GTAS
Rexus - can you post some pics of your tires in the 245/45/18 size? If you say there is very little rubbing, I would definitely go that route, but I want to see how they look. Thanks.

"Michelin MXV4- A great all season tire I have but slightly larger size since they do not have 245/40/18"...mine was delivered with these tires in 245/40/18, and I still have them on the car after almost 31k miles.

Throwing in another possibility. The Conti DW is in stock and has great reviews. I missed it before because it has only received 31 reviews, so Tire Rack doesn't have the rating number listed. It's at 9.29 average.

I had a chance to take a spin on the new Kumho Ecsta LX Platinums and so far I like them a lot. They are very quiet in comparison to the Michelins on my other set of wheels and didn't notice any weird tracking or wobbling issues even going full tilt on the accelerator from a stop.

I have no complaints about the Kumhos so far. Actually I do have one complaint, they are so quiet that the little GS creaks are more noticeable than ever. :P
Tread depth on these tires is crazy. I wouldn't have expected them to be as smooth as they are.

Anybody running the Goodyear Eagle GT's?
We have these on our car and they feel fine. I have noticed that they follow the groove in the road but other than that the tires are fine.

Agree on both accounts. I've had mine for about 11 months now, put around 6,000 miles on them (would be more like 18,000 miles had I not decided on retiring early, the down side being not enjoying the ride as often). Shocked me how quiet they are (my GS doesn't have the creaks/rattles others complain of), and I really love the handling of these tires, even when aggressively driving. Yep, that tread depth is something too. Will be interesting to see how these hold up in terms of their overall performance. That UTQG rating of 600 will be interesting to test too. 245/40R18's all around.

Honestly I really like these tires ! They are really smooth, the road noise is a little quieter (compared to the bridgestones I had) and they do not follow the groves in the road. I did NOT even get an alignment and its perfect. I could not be happier with my purchase. So far I had bought 2 sets of tires before these and I have to say these are definitly the best so far. It also has the 50,000 mile tread rating. I am using the stock 17's. I purchased them from South Dade Tires but I got a discount through my job. I hope this helps.
