Bluetooth - incoming call question?
I have a 2006 GS300 with NAV and ML, and a LG Versa phone. Here's my problem...when a call comes in it does not ring just the NAV goes from MAP/Audio to Phone but stays quiet. I have tries all settings in my phone and have been to Lexus and they coudl not fix it. It does not matter if I have my phone's ringer on vibrate or volume up ringer.
I have just had my car at the dealer in the last few weeks getting a few things done and they gave me a RX350 and a IS250 to drive. On both cars when an incomming call comes in it turned off whatever was on in the NAV/Audio and it starts to ring unlike my GS.
Any ideas or thoughts?

I just paired my phone with an 06 GS w/nav-lev and when the call came in, the audio cut off, the display showed an incoming call and my phone did its vibe/ring. You may want to have someone else pair their phone and see if reacts like yours.

try a 2007-2009 gs with gen5 system. if they ring, that means it's gen4 problem (your nav)
i know on a lot of gen4 system (ls430, sc430), when there is a call, it doesn't ring somehow
your loaners are all either gen5 or gen6 (2010) systems. try it on a gen5 gs and you will know for sure

It rings on a gen5 or gen6 as was evident on the 2010 loaners I drove. So it is a gen4 thing, huh?!?!?
It's just strange how when the nav/audio cuts off there is no noise or anything and for a few seconds I'm like what the heck just happened or is going on here until I realize I have an incomming call.

phone can definitely be a factor, but i still believe generation of nav is a problem too. especially gen 4, it was the first generation with bluetooth i believe, it was quite buggy when they started (i had 05 sc430 with gen4 nav). gen 5 was greatly improved
like i said, the easiest way is to test your phone on a 07+ gs with gen5, if it works fine, then that means for your particular phone, it's the gen4 that's causing the problem
i have seen a lot of my clients with gen4 nav (other lexus) and a lot of them complain about this issue
