The cheap tires theory did nothing ! I switched to Yokohama's and I still have a slight vibration at 65mph ! I guess I just have to live with it or put the stocks back on ! I'm done dealing with it ! I went to 2 different shops to have them balanced , replaced a tire , and replaced all 4 tires with a different brand ! There's nothing else left !!!!

In my experience and others can vouch for that too, certain RIMS made by companies are not truly round and are not made well and cannot be balanced by weights and will vibrate even if the tires are balanced on it fine. The Hunter Road force machines usually cannot pick out the runoff of the radial and lateral width of these Rims most of the time. I will go ahead and return those rims you bought and get a better set. Otherwise go back to stock... I hope you will resolve this. It is very annoying. I know that.

heheh. sorry you had to go through all that hassle. time and money wasted.
at least you ruled out the car and tires.
so, like someone else said, has to be the rims.
they're ugly rims anyway. so maybe this is a windfall.
this thread is like deja vu. 65mph seems to be the magic number for vibration.
do you get vibration going 90mph?

I have found a few things contribute to the dreaded 60-65 MPH shakes, but mostly it is cheap rims. I had cheap 18s on my 2nd gen and the car shook like crazy, went to high-end 20s and the car was smooth as silk.
It has something to do with harmonics at 60-65, dont know much about that but know it is common, just read some old 2nd gen gs threads and you'll see how common of an issue it was for us. Some of the corrections made were:
- hunter roadforce balance; expensive though
- steering pretensioner adjustment;
But if you are rolling cheap rims, nothing will work out the shakes completely.
