Default does anyone's seat position memory feature do this?

Hey, I have 08 gs350 and a few weeks ago I noticed my seat position memory has been reseted. I tried all L1,L2, and L3 (I had two settings at the time L1 and L3) but none of them worked. So I had to re-type my seat position but I didn't know what caused it.

Yesterday I was vacuuming my interior and I moved the driver seat all the way back while the ignition was off and later I turned the car on and press L1 to go back to my setting but it didn't work. it reseted all 3 memories again and I realized this is what happened last time as well.

So my question is does your GS do this too? if you move your seat manually when the ignition is completely off, does it reset your seat position memory?

I don't know if this is normal or not. Your help will be appreciated!

I know it has to be in park gear.

It only happens if I move the seat when the ignition is off. If it is on and I move the seat manually and press the L button it still goes back to the setting.

I wonder if there is a problem with my seat.

I haven't seen that before. I have a question too: How do I pair a memory seat location with a smart-card key? I know how to do it with a fob, but not with the smartcard since that has no buttons.

Check to make sure you don't have a loose connection somewhere. It sounds like its wiping the memory. I had a Maxima before and occasionally the clock would just reset itself. In that car I narrowed it down to the battery and the problem went away when I changed the battery.

I never had the problem you describe. But my 07 GS350 would not keep the position of mirrors and seat as set...close, but always fluctuating from time to time. I finally gave up on it.

yea make sure your car engine is "on" before you press l1, l2, or l3. also if your car's batteruy is unplugged for any reason that will reset your seats memory.

like I said the engine was on when I tried and the battery wasn't disconnected.

seems like nobody is having this problem so I guess it's just my car.
