Well crap, that's not good. I probably bring it in one day. It doesn't only happen at 50 degress. It can be 90 outside and still do it. As long as it's sat overnight and cooled down completely. At least what's occurring is frequent enough so it's easy to duplicate.

TWong1200, that is actually not a bad thing. In order to reduce the start-up wear(90% of wear happens on start-up) the engineers electronically increase rpms's at start-up to bring all fluid(oil, atf, diff) and engine temp to normal faster thus reducing start-up wear by reducing the amount of warm-up time. Hope this helps.

I completely agree with you there. That's why I'm not really convinced that I'll bring this in for this issue. I'm just curious as to why it's not the same throughout the board from GS350 to GS350.

Thanks for the input

If you read the whole thread, this isn't what he's concerned about.

I haven't been in my car in few days, but I'll pay more attention to it the next time I go somewhere and maybe even take a video too.

TWong1200, how many miles on your car? How has your car been maintained? Try to see how the spark plugs look. When was the last time the air filter changed? Try doing a seafoam run and an oil change after 200 miles and see if that helps. From the video, it looks like there maybe a momentary air flow problem in the intake valve.

Nothing consistent, really. I've probably felt a *little* rough idle a few times. I'm thinking of yanking the plugs this weekend.

You could just try disconnecting the battery for a while and resetting the ECU so it relearns everything from scratch again first. Check the air filter, go to a different gas station... a few things to try before the more expensive things, unless you're due for plugs anyway.

observe and document every time the idle deflection, rough idle(if any) happens.

im assuming you still have warranty, since your car is an 07 (miles??)...if another one of these symptoms happens- i strongly advise you to bring it to the dealer for documentation, and servicing.
i would not even touch anything in the engine if it is still under warranty.

as i previously mentioned before (in another thread), the 300s/350s had issues with carbon buildup due to the DI design, Lexus had been dealing with the carbon buildup issue depending on the severity of the issue...common symptoms of excessive carbon buildup would be rough idle, sputtering, etc..
not saying this is the cause of your Idle deflection issue--BUT it can definitely be a potential cause.

lexus replaced both of my 02 sensors, and ECU for the above problems-i am still observing if it happens again.
