factory is 55w, i wouldn't go much higher, it gets pretty hot. 70w is already pushing it imho. 100w, no way....

What look are you going for? yellow? maybe HID would satisfy you.

DRL bulb is high beam (9005? forgot) and it's around 55 to 60w as well

but when DRL is in action it's at 50% power that's why it looks yellow. i don't know what will happen when you put a yellow bulb? something yellow but not as rich?

I thought I remembered seeing somebody write that those higher wattage bulbs burn the wiring. I'd just go with HID's. HID extra has a kit that goes for 60 bucks after all the coupons...pretty hard to beat that.

I think that was with the hid fogs. i think someone was running a 55w bulb in the hid fog and it melted the harness.

**edit**

heres the thread
it happened to adams car and it wasnt an hid fog like i thought, it was just the bulb. he didnt say what wattage the bulb was though.

Hey, that's the exact thread I was talking about. I thought he was talking about those regular halogen bulbs. I thought HID's run at lower wattage?

I look over at HID and the only two choices are 35w or 55w.
