Default Rear View Mirror

Any body have their rear view mirror become cloudy? Almost looks like rust. Is there a re-call on this product? Thanks in advance!

Back when i had my e46 M3 this was an issue. It's the chemical that's dims the mirror. Should be under warranty.

Received my mirror today. its looks good as new. I'm very happy with the results. Price...$15 to ship to scott at radar-mirror.com. labor $89 and a return shipping fee or $15 =s $119. It is well worth the wait.

Scott shipped repaired and shipped it the same he received it. He used USPS priority service to ship it. I got it in 3days. He may ship faster if you're willing to pay extra.

I am having this problem for my rear view mirror (attached to windshield). Anybody know how easy it is to remove the mirror?

Very easy. Start by removing the screw that holds the mirror to the screen. You will need a Torx 20 screw driver. The screw is in the hole in the middle of the plastic bezel. Carefully pull out the plastic piece behind the courtesy light that is held in place by two tabs and three claws. Just gentle pressure is enough. The middle shroud comes off with it, Loosen the screws in the glasses compartment so that you can pull out the wire connected after you have disconnected it. Pull the mirror upwards and towards you.

Just got back my mirror from Scott Wheeler yesterday and installed it this morning. Very pleased with the work and the price. Just about ten percent of what a replacement would cost at the dealer. Happy happy happy.
