hmmm
i agree here..when i was looking for the trunk release wire in my 2007 for the alarm install, we noticed that the parking sensors, mirror folding, odometer trip, trunk release, gas lid release, all of these were physically controlled by an electronic module that doesn't correspond to the actual number of wires that
should be behind the drop down console and rather a ribbon wire which signifies electronic controlling possibly with certain frequencies that allow it to be possible. we did however find the gas lid release wire with the provided wiring diagrams, but the trunk release wire would not release regardless of negative of positive trigger under the driver's dash even though it matched the pin location and color exactly on a 16 pin connector.
