MOTORTREND: GS-F production is back on
Lexus GS-F is also back on
To make the LF-A supercar's 500-horsepower, 4.9-liter V-10 financially feasible, Lexus had planned to drop the engine into its next-generation GS sport sedan, launching in the 2011 model year. The Lexus GS-F would use the same V-10, slowed down slightly only because of its weight, of course. Think of the LF-A/GS-F relationship as just like the Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 to the Cadillac CTS-v.
When Toyota put the Lexus supercar on hold earlier this year, the GS-F went back in the closet as well. Now the GS-F joins the LF-A on Lexus' future product roster. Unless Toyota accelerates development so as to tie the two cars closer together, the Lexus GS-F should go on sale about a year after the garden-variety GS, in late 2011 as a 2012 model. - Todd Lassa

As I read in motortrends magazine, it was said that toyota has decided to go through with the gs-f and put it back into production. In the magazine it had pictures of the front and back how it would look, i dont know if it was chopped but it seemed like it was a newer generation GS body.

the "mock up" photo looks like an IS....at least the front does. will not be happy if that's their next gen GS.
good find on the article OP!
how much you think they'll price the GS-F....80K?

this was posted before in car chat or something
But lexus has some big shoes to fill.
If they tune it like an IS-F, then fine.
But they have to get as close to an M5 as they can.
Let's hope they don't botch the 4GS
based on the current new models, it looks like the GS will FINALLY get a usb mp3 port get get rid of the tape deck

yeah V-10 and 500HP would be f'n unbelievable! definitely not a car to buy if you're worried about MPGs

Yeah you can tell its chopped. Plus, I've yet to see Lexus produce a car with that type of red. lol, they used a 06-07 and forgot the lights on the mirrors as well. From what it seems, Lexus with any updates will include that now.
