Your front is such an aggressive size that it may be something you have to live with. 245/30 is a thinner tire but its 10mm wider so depending on HOW you rub it may not get rid of it. However 245/30 is less likely to rub and that just might be the right tire size for you.

The higher the first number the wider it is. The second number is a percentage of the first number on how thick the tire is. 255/30 is bigger than 245/30, so your assumption is incorrect that bigger number is smaller. 245/35/20 is over 3% bigger than stock(that's not good for the drivetrain) and a lot of people are getting rubbing issues with that size. So since you said you want the meatiest tire without rubbing, 235/35/20 is a great choice.

I'm thinking of going with 235/35/19 on a 19x8.5 +35 front and 265/30/19 on a 19x9.5 +35 rear. This is a 2006 GS300 RWD. I shouldn't have any fitment problems with that right? Thanks in advance.

Default Question: Can I put 245/50R18 Pirelli Cinturatos on my 2006 GS 300 awd?

I'm running size 245/40ZR -18 right now. But I really want a little more sidewall. 18" rims are tiny compared to what you guys use, so I'm hoping I can get away with that slightly larger diameter! Thanks.

Here's a link to the Pirelli Cinturatos:

Need help from you wheel experts! I just purchased a set of wheels for my 3gs and am now looking for tires. Wheel size is 20x8.5 +30..20x10.0+36. I will be installing coilovers on the car and plan on slamming it. I was thinking of purchasing 225/30/20 for the fronts and 255/30/20 for the rear, any thoughts on this setup? Also, I'm pretty sure the rear fenders need to be shaved? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

If you plan on slamming it then you might need all the clearance you can get, and those tire sizes will do the trick. I personally think that front tire would be like a rubberband and you risk cracking or bending a wheel. Imo, I would 225/35/20 and 255/30/20 but I'm lowered to no gap, can still see all of the tire. Rear fenders you can shave, fronts are better rolled.
