I know I was signed up at some site where you could check service history etc. but being in Canada maybe it was different from mylexus.com. At any rate, I'll check it out. Thanks!

I have an 06 gs300 which is an 06/05 built I think? I have Soo many problems with my car...
Burns about 2-3 qts of oil per 5k miles.
Clatters on start up about 3-5 times a week in the morning.
Now mis fire on start up if not started within 2 days or so.
Check engine light on for misfire, random misfire, check vsc and Traction light on
And navi screen is pitch black and won't turn on.
I have had the 2GS previously and those are very reliable. Since I got this its nothing but trouble.

Sounds like you have carbon buildup damage and the dealer has issued your car an extended warranty towards that issue. Take it to the dealer, and they will tell you, you will need to pay for 1hr diagnostics. Then they will rebuild your engine for free, this is only on 2006 GS300's and IS250's
The dealer told me they can't fix it because out of warranty but he told me before it was a known problem. now what? Theirs ppl here with well over 120k getting rebuilt for free. I recently talk to a guy on craiglist selling is black 06 gs300 his car was rebuild free and had 140k by the same dealership I went to (LEXUS OF SACRAMENTO). My still clatters, misfire at idle sometimes and cel still on after 1k miles and burn oil. I did and oil consumption test with them and it been 1k mile so far I know it's low at least by 1 qt already.

Did that and just got a call from Lexus of Sacramento. They say my spark plug seal leakin a lil bit of oil. And compression test were a lil jumpy like 234 220 240 or something like that. And cylinder heads were scorned. They now charging me 300 bucks for this diagnosis. They didn't even check up on the clattering noise on start up. .....now all I see is they want money from me with no type of Help wanted to charge me 13k for a new motor.....
