Default Cashmere interior owners

We have the full 4 seasons where I live, so since purchasing my car in September, I've had the rubber all-weather mats in my car. These were great when they kept putting salt and all that nasty stuff down. That would have surely ruined the other floor mats. What does everyone do in the summer? I'm debating just leaving the rubber mats in year round...since it does rain quite a bit here, and a lot of times pop-up thunderstorms.

I really wanted the black interior, but I bought my 08 towards the end of the model year and apparently Black Sapphire with black interior is hard to come by. I like the look of the cashmere floor mats (looks more classy), but after about two good rain storms those mats would be ruined, especially the driver side. I'm pretty **** about keeping my car clean, inside and out.

i know...that's why I wanted black. although when it came down to it, I preferred the blue exterior color over whatever color came on the inside. Any of the three colors of interior would have looked fine to me on the blue. Black was just impossible to get.

The light gray is just as bad as the beige, black interior is a must for me since I have kids.

I put the standard mats back in when spring rolls around. I prefer the way they look, and feel for that matter If you spray them with a fabric protectant, like 303 aerospace, it's not that hard to keep them clean.

I have darker brown cloth mats over my original mats and i leave them down year around. We have four seasons here and lots of rain. Have had no problems with cleaning them and they go well with the interior. My previous gs had black interior and i hated it. Im loving the cashmere. I could find tons of gs's with black interior when i looked for mine but had to go out of state to get mine with the cashmere.

Do you have plastic wrap around your leather seats too

I bought a set of black carpet OEM (Lexus doesn't make a dark brown for the 3GS) mats and use them all year long. They hide the dirt just fine. My cashmere mats have been out of the car and stored away since the car was new.

I've always had good luck scrubbing my mats, letting them air dry and then vacuuming them. Only 150 miles on my new GS, but that's the plan for me. Hell, I'll buy a new set if they get too bad. Not to start anything, but if you can afford a Lexus...

Why are some of you guys so **** about protecting your floor mats or covering them up? They are there to protect the carpeted floor in the first place...you are protecting the protectors!

A good vacuum or wash every once in a while will get the job done ladies. man up.

^ ^ LOL, if you don't get it, you don't get it. ^ ^

I have Weather Tech semi-clear mat, it's quite a nice combo with the black interior.
