I'm surprised you could drive at all in snow with those tires, 100%, that's what the problem is.

I was likewise curious how my new toy (and the stock run-flats) would handle this storm, and I'm impressed so far. Prior rides were a Tahoe and an FX-35, and the GS is at least as good on snowy roads as the FX. In my suburban town, I have been looking for half-plowed hills and gunning straight up, with very little wheel spin. Drove into Boston today where all the side streets are a mess - the GS feels very confident.

My only complaint has been that the cold weather seems to have tripped the TPMS warning - the FX used to do that in the cold too.

this is a common problem/dilemna with TPMS systems in the winter. Tires lose 10 lbs or pressure for every 10 degree drop in temperature. Just add air and bring the tires back up to acceptable pressure. The light will go out.

I heard the AWD system in the LS is much better, it has a center Torsen diff and front and back diff.

is that Celsius or Fahrenheit? I just checked mine earlier this week and it dropped to 27 psi from the end of summer. (yeah I should check it more often >_<) and it was probably a good 50-60 F difference.

YANG, didn't you get the memo from last year???

You suppose complain to your service advisor at the dealership about the freaking noise coming out of "Yokohama A10B" (which is summer tire) and have it replaced with "Michelin Primacy HP or PS2" (which is all-season tires)!?!

Weather in Texas is freaking unbelievable, one day was 70+ degree...next day is 30 below!?!
Last week in DFW we had snow/sleet, I was able to drive "ALMOST NORMALLY" with Primacy HP. Reason for the word "ALMOST NORMALLY" is due to freaked out Texans, they do not how to drive PERIOD!!!

Anyway, try to get your tires replaced under warranty if you can...

I did get the memo but but... I have not yet heard this noise so I don't want to appear psychotic with lots of road noise in my head filing the complaint ya know??? They might think I'm on drugs or something. I say that because the previous times I schedule an appointment for dash rattle, my service tech would hop in the car with me and listen for the noises too. I figure they'd do the same for road noise?!

And yes, weather in Houston is very erratic.

I've got about 17000 miles right now and I will try to listen for this road noise. Thanks!
