...on non-NAV model? I noticed from some '08 3GS screenshots the touch-screen interface has been updated, for example instead of 6 "cd" circles in a row they are in two rows of 3 with text underneath. Not sure if there are any other changes. But since I don't have NAV DVD drive in glove box, I was wondering if there is a way to update firmware/software on '07 3GS with '08/'09 3GS version?

I have a 08 GS and i have the 6 circles. But i have the two rows of 3 with text for the Radio. I think the Navs with Sat are different because I don't have SAT.

I think that is because he has a DVD changer in his car, but i'm not sure.
