Default Glove Box Clicking Noise - Anyone else?

My glove box consistently makes a clicking noise over ANY bump in the road. If I lightly push in on the glove box with my finger the noise promptly goes away.

I took it in to the dealer and of course they said they could not reproduce it.

If anyone else has this issue, have you had any success resolving the noise on your own? I give up on taking it to the dealer!

Thanks.

Check the bumpers and the lock.

when you pushed on the glove box, which part did you push on and how hard?

the glove box is held on by 4 screws, i wonder if tightening them helps

I had the same rattle, I put two small clear bumper pads on the door, got rid of the noise, all though tightening the latch is probably the more correct fix

I always push in on the upper portion and it doesn't matter how far left or right. Takes only a small amount of pressure to make the noise go away as well.

Add a sticky felt pad to the other side of the top.

Default Glove Box Rattle

The G Man is correct about the glove box. A little Velcro and the problem is gone.

Default It really sucks, doesnt it?

I had the same exact annoying rattle from the glove comp. Thank you G man, you are right on the root cause of the issue.

Every plastic interior pieces squeaks when you touch them.

While on the topic of glove boxes, does anyone else have this problem? When I push the release button, the glove box doesn't fall open by itself. I have to give it a little pull to make it drop. Normal?

Thanks, appreciate the help
