Default Question about filters

Hi,

I'm new to the forum and I have some questions regarding the A/C filter and engine air filter. I own a 2006 GS300 AWD. I took my car in for the 20k service and they tried to charge me 75 to change the A/C filter and 115 to change the engine air filter. I thought that was a rip off and decided to do it myself. I was just wondering where I can order the OEM A/C filter and where I can get a new engine air filter. I was thinking about the K&N one, but I'm not sure. What do you guys recommend?

skip the K&N.

Get the OEM filters here. I use them all the time.

Air filter is $28
Cabin Filter is $25

and CL members get a 10% discount if you put in the correct discount code.

Hey thanks a lot. Yea I read the mixed reviews about the K&N, so I'm gonna stick with OEM. Whats the discount code btw?

No probelms at all with the K&N drop in Filter... They also have an HKS and Blitz filter which is a little better...

Anyone have first hand experience with the Blitz or HKS? Why are they better?

Filter element filtering comparisons.
I still prefer the paper element.
