Default edit contacts in address book

I've been able to transfer names and phone numbers to my 2006 GS300. Most of my contacts have more than one phone number. In most cases the wrong phone number transferred. How di I edit the phone numbers associated with the names? I do I delete contacts? How do I entry contacts manually? I have found the instruction books to be very confusing.

I had this happen to me too. Sometimes it sent the number I wanted, sometimes an alternate phone number went across. I don't know how the selected phone number is determined.

I did it the long way. I went through my phone and deleted (but wrote down on a piece of paper) all the phone numbers I did not want to have a possibility to go across. Then I sent the phone list across so only the number I wanted would go. I then went through the phone list in the car to delete the entrieds I didn't need in the car directory. Then I retyped into my phone the numbers I deleted initially. Took me about an hour or so. Like you, I could not find a way to edit an individual entry in the car.

Good luck.

If you had one contact in your phone with three numbers, does the transfer create three contacts with the same name but different phone numbers?

I believe if I save all my phone contacts to the SIM card it creates individual contacts for the different numbers. Then I could send the SIM card contact list over to the car and delete the numbers I don't want in the car. The problem then lies in my phone. If I do that, then the phone address book displays the phone contacts and the SIM contacts and I have a list of duplicate names and numbers.
