Dash Rattles & Creaks TSIB's
Getting ready to take my 2007 GS 350 AWD into Lexus of Bridgewater NJ to tackle all my dash rattles and creaks. Here are all the Rattle/Creaks TSIB's I could find on the forum.
Does anybody have the ventilation cowl rattle TSIB ???
Thanks !

Since dash rattles seem to be one of the bigger problems with the GS's we should have all the TSIB's.

Anyone have access to one of those TSIB sites maybe ?

Taking the 06 in on thurs for a dash/windshield noise. I'm not sure which it is but it's a sounds a little like styrofoam rubbing rather than a rattle. Sounds like its coming from dash area near the windsheild. My ears tell me it originates just a little to right of speedometer and towards the back near teh defrost vent. From trial an error tho, when I jam a little towel in the gap between the dash and glass just to the right of the driver side speaker, it definitely helps tho doesnt eliminate it. Thats a bit further left than I thought based on the way it sounds.
Hopefully that will be enough of a clue for them to fix it.

I have exactly same issue on my wife's 07 GS350; just found this post and as always you guys are very helpful. She was going nuts from the rattling noise, originating from dashboard speakers area. Just made an appointment to service it at Lexus of Massapequa.

Dont forget the TSB for the center nav console area, front cowl as well as the dash board pins. Even after all those TSBs and my old GS beening the shop for almost 2 weeks, the rattles came back the next winter, very disappointing. I hope you guys have better luck than I did.

I too am starting to hear the cracking/rattling noise coming from my arm rest and above the steering wheel on my GS430 2006.
The question for all of you is... did the dealer FIX the problem for you completely? I've heard of stories where the car ends up "worse" after the dealer messes with it because the dealer takes the factory installation apart. I'm hoping there is a happy ending to this for most or all of you but just thought I would ask before taking it in.
Thanks again...

By the way, the rattling/crackling noise is mostly noticeable when I drive over rougher, bumpier roads and with the music down. Is that the same for everyone else?

Some owners have very good result and for some, the problem came back but to a lesser degree. Of course anytime you take the whole dash board apart, you are taking a risk, but the alternative is not to fix it, which isnt really a alternative at all.
