Default Windshield creaking

Does anyone know if the windshield creaking TSB have been applied to the 08 GS350? I have only a 1000 miles on my car, I can hear a little creaking noise around the windshield and dash area. The temp here drop down to the teens here today and I just started to notice it. Its not too bad, I can live with it if it doesnt get worst.

G, I heard the creak maybe once on mine. '08 GS350 with about 500miles on it now. It's been brutally cold here and I haven't noticed. I'll have to listen for it next time it really gets cold. Hi this past Saturday was -2. Today' is like spring: 28. but more snow.

Did you ever get a chance to ride on the white stuff yet? how'd it handle?

Its about 28 deg F here today and the problem got better. Cant hear it with radio on but with radio off I can hear it. Its going into the dealer Monday for the 1000 check up and squeaking brake. I have already mentioned the creaking problem to them, lets see what they find, I will probabaly get the same old line " We could not hear any creaking but we will document your problem on our file "
We had 2 inches of snow a few days ago and it handle it with no problem as it should. We are expecting 6 inches tonite, I let you guys know tomorrow.

took my 07 GS430 in this morning for the third time for the windshield noise. first it was in middle over the nav screen. then it was on the passenger side. this time it was on the driver's side so i hope they fix it for good. also after they took the dash apart the last time, they left a piece of insulation or some sort of black fabric hanging down over the top of the tachometer. so they need to fix that as well. good luck with the creaking.

I told them styrofoam on styrofoam today so hopefully they know what to do.

Did they ask you before they take your dash apart, the last thing I want them to do is take the dash apart and cause more noise because right now its not that bad.

I have an 07 GS350 and finally have gotten my Creak fixed. - I will tell you this, though. Last winter my car was dead silent. I got it in late Dec of 2006 and put about 4-5,000 miles on it in cold weather with no problems. Then in October of 2007, i started hearing the dreaded dash/windshield creak. I am surmising that it took about 5-10K miles to 'loosen things up'. I cannot believe that Lexus let this problem fester in 2006, 2007 and now apparently 2008.

There is so much possible cause to this problem its hard to find a fix. My creaking is pretty much from start to end. It doesnt take 5-10 miles to lossen things up. Maybe Lexus did use some of the fixes for 08 becuase my creaking is not as bad as some other older post I have read here.

Like I said, my car did not creak at all last winter - But after I got 5-10 thousand miles on my car this winter, it sounded like a marching band!

Well, there certainly is hope, because it can be fixed! There was 1 deaf guy on the forum from Alberta that claimed his car was dead silent, but he could never get his stereo to work

I am guessing that your car will probably quiet down in the next couple months when it warms up. Next fall if it starts creaking when it gets cold, take it to the dealer and get it fixed. They are really good at fixing this now, since its been a problem for a couple years. Don't be afraid to take it to the dealer. Most of us here needed at least 2 visits and sometimes more.

I still cannot believe that they have not solved the problem at the factory by now.I will look at Hyundai when they come out with a Lexus Killer next time.
