Car insurance coverage and prices vary from state to state. It also depends on how much coverage you want to carry, what is required and what is also optional. Everyone will tell you different rates from state to state as they vary from insurance companies down to your own driving record. Asking what people are paying for insurance on their GS is not really a good way of indicating how much you will actually pay, unless you find someone in your state with the same car and same types of coverage.

I am a lawyer. Trust me and get 100K Uninsured Motorist Coverage. It is relatively cheap and will protect you when someone hits you. 1/4 of CA drivers are uninsured.

I believe you. That is why I carry great coverage and a wrap-around policy. You need enough insurance to pay the lawyer to go away.
