Default Smoking the ugly orange reflector

I notice a lot of people in my area (Los Angeles) have their orange reflector on their 3gs and their 2is. It looks clean and gives it a better look. This is a lot better option than opening the headlights themselves. My question is, how is it done? Tape and smoke taillight spray? Anybody have a a step by step DIY?

What I've seen is people use a dark tint film and cover as much of it as they can on the headlight lens itself. Its a better alternative then opening a headlight.

No DIY for opening a headlight and doing the work yet, but someone will probably do it soon. I am thinking about buying a set of headlights and doing it, BUT not for my car. Its something I can live with. I would like to help someone do it, after all its simple to do.

Seize it does look very good. I had a couple that drives a 07 GS350 and asked me if that's how it comes from factory on the 08 models

Imma go back to aerotect and redo it to a lighter shade smoke. Right now is a tad too dark.

I would go to a tint shop and have them put some 5% on top of it. Or maybe double 5%.

So using dark tint is the best eh? Too bad they don't sell small pieces.

Im not impressed . It looks odd imo, and its cop bait. Especially the robotic cops in LA they will nail you for little things like this. Not a big fine, just a fix it ticket.
