Default What is the release date of the '08 GS?

Sorry folks, but the '08 thread is too long now, and after 4 pages, I saw no official release date...or I missed it for looking...

Does anyone know what the date is and when Lexus will update the Web site?

Thanks

That's exactly ("next couple of weeks") what my local salesman told me on Sept 1st.

I've been looking and searching everywhere for this answer for almost 2 months now, so far no luck. What I do know is the cars are in production line (of course it is) but when it will arrive the shores of US remains unknown.

some dealer claimed that few have arrived in their dealers, but that has no proof.

I am willing to bet that Lexus will be updating their website with the official release and options after the 2007 Tokyo Autoshow which will take place on oct 26th.

then cars should be rolling off the lots in mid Nov, early December (at least that's what Longo lexus told me)

Like Ryan said, the site will be updated shortly with the cars trickling on lots by months end.

Can someone tell me the specific differences between the '08 and the '07 GS350? If I were willing to buy an '07 (assuming they have one I want), how much should I expect to pay (in California) for a car with neither navigation nor AWD, a car with a navigation system, and a car with a navigation system and AWD? Also, if I were willing to wait for the annual December sale, how much is the usual discount (I'm in no rush). Thanks much.

Welcome to Clublexus but please search as this has been discussed.

Not many changes between the 07/08 350 outside the small exterior touches (turn signals in mirrors) and losing the drop down hidden button compartment by the steering wheel.

In all honesty if you can get a good deal on an 07, I would go for that.

As for prices, search again, people have posted what they have paid. I would say with the 08s arriving, under 50k easy with NAV.

you should be able to get them for under invoice now for 07

i highly doubt you are going to get much discount on 08 by christmas. december to remember is usually on good rates for cars like es and rx. not sure if the new gs is going to get much discount?

Default Invoice on 07 GS350

Thanks, and I'll try to remember to search next time! Now, how do I figure out "invoice"? Also, would you consider a used GS350 with 13,000 miles with Navigation (RWD) for $39K a good deal? I can get that even in the color I want.

Default Rims

Are those on the website specific for 08 model? I saw a GS with these rims about two weeks ago. Wondering if that was an 08 model.

You can check out Yahoo autos. A 2007 GS 350's invoice is $38,851. Never ever look at MSRP. Good luck...

Default 2007s

Thanks. We saw a post by someone else who said he got a 2007 just a couple of days ago for what seemed to be a very good price (and at a dealer that is local to us). With that information and the information you provided, I think we'll take a look at the remaining 2007s more seriously. Appreciate it.

Default Need some quick advice on Invoice

We're in touch with a dealer who is looking for a new 2007 GS350 in our preferred color for us. We know the base price is $44,150 and the invoice price (per Yahoo) is $38,851. Question about Options - the option package we're looking at is the Nav Package without ML but with XM Radio -- retail price $4,618. What would the "invoice" price be on that option package? We're trying to figure out our "top price". We understand there would also be an add-on for delivery charge and for T&L. Thanks.

Default Our car (maybe)

OK, our dealer has located the car we want. Now we're negotiating price! It's the color combo we want, it's got NAV, and we told him we need the XM radio module installed. He's got to have it brought here from elsewhere so there's a transportation cost, we're ok with that. Based on this thread, we know what we're in for, just waiting for him to come back (because of course he didn't like our first number). Cross your fingers for us!
