Default Brake Discs and pads for GS430

Guys,

I want to change my Brake Discs and pads, any suggestion for best manufacturer; something that last longer and good performance?

i feel by brakepads lifetime is very short and it needs replacement every 12K Miles. After running 50K miles, service center asked me to replace front discs as well !? which i feel very short. Front Discs pair costs $440 and Front Pad set costs $177

what do you think?
What size should i buy ?
From which brand?
Which type?

12,000 miles is too soon. Do you drive alot at high speed? Perhaps the sand is wearing out the front pads too soon?

I exchanged my first 3GS after one year with 30,000 KM (18,600 Miles) and they hadn't touched the brake pads. My second one is showing no signs of brake wear either. I rarely drive to work slower than 90 mph (road rage is the norm here - we're all mad that we have to get up so damn early to go to work). There is also enough sand around here to remove the paint on the front bumper and wing mirrors after a few years.

You need to grease the shims.

Maybe one of you 3GS guys could talk to Steve at Carson and see if they can produce OEM size cross-drilled/slotted rotors?

We did this on the 2GS, for those that wanted and upgraded feel/look at a good price.
