Miles & rattles questionnaire.
Hope people can pitch in...
06 or 07 model year?
How many miles driven now?
Where in cabin are the rattles & other noises coming from?
Do you drive on crappy roads?

06 GS300
6,000
Rattles like crazy in the dash & center console area. Dealer attempted many times to fix. The reason I moved to the 07 GS350
No

07 GS350
5,500
Still have rattles in the dash & center console area. Not as bad as the 06. Dealer attempted many times to fix as well.
No
People who claim that they have no rattles I question, because the sounds are more often plastic pops and creaks, not loose items rattling. These pops and creaks seem to be more or less evident with temperature changes in the cabin. It also seems to be something with the materials used and I have never driven a newer model GS that doesn't have this issue to some degree.

'07 350, approx. 4,000 mi. Really loud "pop" or "crack" noise is back (seems to be from the center/top of the dash). Had not heard it in a couple of months. Don't drive on too many crappy roads.

07 GS350
5,700 miles
Had a slight noise on dash and rear deck over bumps when temps dropped below 30 degrees - Now that summer is here the car is completely silent. - We'll see what happens this coming winter.
I drive mostly on smooth roads.

Front Passenger Speaker / Side air Bag area
06 GS
30K miles
Very annoying sound coming from front passenger speaker area in the dash. I can't replicate the sound everytime I take it to the dealer. It only happens when the weather is cold.
anyone else have this similar problem?

Rattles is free of charge from Lexus
My toy is 2007 GS350 with about 6,000 miles, came with rattles as compliment from Lexus!!!
I started to hear the rattle noise around 1,000 miles, first rattle came from passanger-side speaker. After they did the insulation, now the noise coming somewhere in the dashborad and back windshield.
I am bring the vehicle next week for more "PATCH UP," hopefully they will find the cause this time!!!

those little annoying sounds...
I have an 06 GS and will agree there's more snap, crackle, and pop in the colder temperatures. The rear roofliner area was making some sounds earlier this year, but they went away. Now with the warmer temps, the car is stone silent, except for a slight creaking sound on the driver's door when I rest my arm / apply pressure there. BTW I only have about 2200 miles. A little annoying yes, but I'm not planning any trips to the dealer. I'd rather live with the little things than to have them perform surgery. Guess I'll just crank up the ML!

07 GS , @6000 miles, occasional cracking sound from the drivers side window, seems temperature related. Otherwise quiet.
Most smooth roads except for the Volkswagen swallowing potholes
