Default Anyone here bought a GS430 recently?

Here's a question for all the Lexus owners and Lexus sales staff and those of you with knowledge in this area...

Ever since the GS350 came out, anyone know people that have bought the GS430 over the GS350?

If they did buy the GS430, are they buying at invoice, below invoice or still with a markup?

A lot of people have asked me these questions out of curiosity but I have no answers for them.

If you appreciate the low end torque of a V8, then get the GS430. As far as fuel economy, I've been getting 21 mpg city and 27 mpg highway. The GS350 RWD is probably a little better. Of course, if you want a GS and really need to have AWD, then you don't have a choice.

The GS430 is special order only. More money, less gas mileage and similar performance. Also the GS460 will be coming out in the spring so you would have to be pretty crazy to want one. None of the dealerships have them just sitting on their lots so I would think that there would be no reason to order one and sell it @ invoice.

Thats true...It makes more sense if GS430 is special order only. Meaning the dealers probably cleared out the inventory of the Gs430s before the release of the GS350 to showrooms. But I bet you can find a 2006 GS430 for a pretty good deal these days in the used market for those who are interested?

I have heard this from the sales managers @ Tustin Lexus, Jim Falk Lexus, and Longo Lexus. Where have you seen 2007 GS430's sitting on lots.

There are are still plenty of 2006's on the lots but dealers still want a lot of money for them.I offered one dealer 40k on an asking price of 48k.He would not take it,so,I bought a gs300 instead.

Yeah, I just went to the dealership and asked the guy that usually helps me if they still get the 430 in, he said no because of the expected release of the 460 soon, most of the ones that they get if they do get any are usually dealer trade ins.

A lot of the dealerships in the Bay Area have either dealer trade-ins or '06 models, I go to a majority of the dealerships looking for comparative value on the IS350, but I have been looking around for a GS350 also, so I pay attention on what's on the lots.

Honestly I love V-8s but unless you have to have the V-8 sound, the GS 350 is the better buy right now.

Unless you want a loaded car with AAAS, then you have to get the GS 430
