Unless somebody has some info that I don't I have to assume we will be seeing a 380 to 400 hp GS460 for the 2008 model year.
So unless you already have your GS430 modded to the extreme and find it more practical to just supercharge your GS430 at the cost of 6-8 grand and likely decreased reliability in your drivetrain and reduced comfort in drivability...
I'd just take the hit on depreciation and get the 460 with just as much, if not more power as that kit will likely ever give you anyway.

AMG/M/RS have nice specs, but I can't handle the constant reliability issues with them I need a Japanese AMG Amazingness without hassle

I read this thread and can understand where everyone is coming from. To me if I had the money it's simply the fact that I can pull up to a E55 or M5 and surprise the hell out of him with my supercharged GS. The look on their face is PRICELESS .
We all know there's some baller's in here and if they do make it then they'll step to the plate.

Heck, this new motor may be so high compression from the factory that the aftermarket finds your options are limited to either very low boost S/C, or actually opening up the motor and swapping in custom lower compression heads and whatnot, which will add a lot of extra expense, hassle, and potential for something to get messed up in the process.
Yeah a Lexus version of AMG/M/SVT/SLP/etc would be nice and all but I think Lexus first needs to establish itself a bit more as a respected player in the performance luxury division.

Right, though keep in mind the 4.6L V8 is Lexus' first truly ground-up new V8 car motor since they were created as a brand. Thus is may take longer for a supercharger kit to come out for the 4.6L than you're use to with the various revisions to the 4.0/4.3L V8s

Yes, everyone is working toward that way (Lexus, Infiniti, Acura). Every new model is getting more and more sporty, bigger engine, more power, firmer suspension, lower ride height, bigger wheels/tires, lower offset wheels........ It is just a matter of times. The IS500 is being tested, like you said, the Japanese brands just need times to establish themselves.

huh, they finally released it. that GS was featured in a japanese car mag called CarGraphics (probably the most famous in japan) a few months ago. looks promising. If I remember correctly, the article said that they never wanted to go after M5/E55 but just wanted to improve on how a stock GS drives.

I can't say i wanna spend 10.5K on it and then drop another 2k to put it in...
I'm waiting for a turbo setup to come out... if i'm gonna look at that kinda money... hell for that... I could by a used twin turbo Z, and do some mods and smoke the lex and save some change...( and still have the lex )

The 350 engine is very high compression. Without lower the compression ratio won't do anyone good to boost it in factory spec. There is something else coming soon. I can't really say much
