Hi everyone,

Could anyone try to see what the real acceleration figures for the GS models are? Just wanted to know if what Lexus is saying on their website is completely true and not imaginary.
For example saying that the GS 450h 0-60 mph was 5.2 seconds, could anyone try to achieve that and tell us about it? may be GS300 or GS 430 owners could also tell us their acceleration figures.

There are plenty of magazine reviews, and the times vary significantly depending on who's driving and how they measure. The results would be just as varied and inaccurate if I timed myself. IMO, true times would require specialized equipment that not many people have. Your best bet is to read all the reviews and average the times.

The best tested 0-60 times by the car mags. for the GS430 is 5.7 sec.
I think there is a mag. tested the GS450h at 5.3 sec. & another listed it at 5.2 (not sure they actually tested this one though).
The times can vary depending on the drivers & other conditions such as air pressure/altitude, temperature etc.
I would say they are pretty close to the figures quoted on the Lexus websites.

Well, I floored it from a stop and it hit 60mph when I counted to 5. Does that count?

And it depends on how slow you count between 1.........2...........3........... You might be able to get from 0 to 60mph in 4 !!
