Default Anyone notice there gas door can be pushed in even when it's locked and closed?

I tryed this on a few GS's and they all do it. I noticted it when I was waxing the car the gas door was closed and it still was able to be pushed and to make a noise. On my RX the gas door is nice and soild and even with pressure on it. It doesn't go in and make any noise. The only thing I can think of is when you open the gas door on the GS it springs open where on the RX it just opens a bit when released. Maybe there is a spring on the GS one and maybe thats why there is play when it is locked. I was just curious if anyone else noticed this?

Yes, I noticed the same thing when I first got my GS. I always forget to mention this issue to my dealer.

I too noticed this a few weeks ago while waxing my car. I thought that I pushed too hard. Hopefully Lexus will address this issue.

Same on my car as well. Doesn't sound like we need to worry about it though.

Same issue here. When I first noticed this, I was able to flex the spring inside, which improved the closing action and the door appeared "firmer" when closed. Now, it's just as it was before, a bit loose in the closed position. Not going to lose sleep over this, however.

Are you pushing on the right side of the gas door?
