well, I would think not... They are active stabilizators, which really should not to much with suspension...
But do you really need coilovers for GS450h with ****?

That's a good point. I'll get my GSh in a few days and it has AVS (Active Suspensions are not offered in Switzerland).

Can I use the GS300/430 lowering springs in the GSh with AVS?

I am still confused about the ****...it doesn't lower or raise the height of the car right?...so if you want to lower the car...what is best...springs or coilovers?

in terms of range of adjustability and how precise you want to be lowered, coilovers are the best. Unlike springs you can get dead even drops on all 4 corners on the car with coilovers

Exclamation Big Important Questin about GSh performance!!!

I ve seen two numbers. One of them is 5.2 seconds for 0-60m/h and other is 5.9 seconds for 0-100km/h aka 62m/h. Now, why do you suppose that is? Is it maybe because European version is different from the American? Are they lying due to some kind of tax law? The IS350 is not out yet so there is no way to compare them. Hybrid technology is great, I am an RX400h owner and love that cars performance and luxury but if GS needs 5.9 seconds, I d choose IS350.
So how much did it take you to reach 0-60 with your GS and is there a difference between EuroGS and USAGS?

If the GS 450H is slower in the Euro version, what makes you think the Euro IS 350 won't also be slower? It seems that the engines of both will have to be tuned differently than the US version to meet emmisions and gas requirements. I haven't seen any test data that suggest the IS 350 is quicker than the GS 450H in the US version, and I don't think the results will be different in Europe.

Also, tests done on exactly the same car from different sources can differ significantly due to factors such as temperature, altitude/air pressure & how aggressive the testers were etc. . . . . . .

Unhappy Indeed!

But there is a huge difference between 5.2 and 5.9. And if the euro version is slower, that sucks!
Maybe you can tune it likethe USA version. I am thinking that there probably has to be an extra catalyst. (The thingy that prevents harmfull gasses from being emited).

there are absolutly no differences in engine. 5.9 is Lexus suggested number for GS450h for the UK, for 0-62 performance, while 0-60 in the USA is suggested as 5.2.

I think one of the mags tested it at 5.3 which sounds right.

honeslty, i wouldn't pay that much attention to the speed difference from different magazines, etc... they have different drivers, conditions, elevations, etc... who knows what are the variables. most of the time i care more about comparisons between different cars in a comparison test which are usually done on the same day at the same location

oh and btw, even with ****, i would still put on coilovers to lower the car

**** has to be one of the most unfortunate car acronyms I've seen.

Maybe it could be used in advertising though... "We kick ****"

That's right. The Euro GS450h doesn't differ from the US version in terms of the engine performance. It's the 2 m/h that causes the difference of 0.7 sec. in acceleration.

Anyhow, this post seems to get a bit off topic.

yep. Different Lexus distributers give different estimated performance numbers. What is important is the magazine tested numbers, which are pretty good.
