Ive looked around for the best lexus forum and this seems to be it, so hey.

I am now driving a '06 GS300 that was giving as a company car. I perfer faster cars but the smooth and silky ride of this car is amazing. All the gadgets are cool and still finding more. Only thing is a couple of problems: parking assist and rear window shade.

I searched around and found IPA is an option, but Im not sure if the dcar has it or not. The button is there in the secret compartment but nothing happens when pressed. Is there a way to find out positively if the car has it?

Also the rear shade does nothing when I press the button. There is a shade in the rear deck so what is the problem?

Sounds like you may need to take the car into the service dept to check your non-functioning buttons.

Yeah, if you see the shade there and the button is not doing anything, time for a trip to Lexus. Did your company get the car new? It seems a little weird that Lexus would miss such an obvious thing.

You can easily tell if your car has the PA option. Take a look at the front and rear bumper and see if there are small sensors in the shape of rectangles and circles, respectively. If you have them, then your car has PA.

Its weird some early production cars had the button but it was a dummy button with PA logo on it. How stupid is that!

Mine has it. I should mod my car so that whenever I hit that button, missiles will fly out like James Bond's car.

Now that is EXACTY what Im going to use this waste of space button for!

What about the shade, is there a fuse to check for it, but that would probably be the whole panel. hmm...

Mine's not as cool... when I press my button, i get blondes and brunettes bringing me drinks... weird thing is it only works when the car is in park. Is there a fix for this?

Nope, no cool little circles on the bumpers..damn! Ive been parking for yeas without electronic crap so I think I'll be fine.

I've been kicking around theidea of some simple mods, anything I can;t live without? The car is soo damn quiet I forget Im driving it, who would want a car like that?
Who makes exhaust systems for this model?

Also going to tint it soon, what are the best film makers out right now?

What a moron, I just noticed my sn. Thats not what I wanted, its supposed to be Valet Parking....can I get a mod to fix this, por favor?????
