K if u guys can help me out 06 gs 300 rwd bout 6300 miles. Came home from the store and notice a pinging noise coming from the engine never notice it before has anyone else notice the same noise. Noise can be heard when the engine is running idle. Wanted to check with CL before I bring it to the dealer.

Are you sure it is not the direct injection you are hearing. Was a complaint when the car came out although it should sound a bit different. Computer normally will adjust for pinging or knocking automaticly

its something like a tis sounding noise coming from the engine when I pop the hood I can hear coming for the lexus emblem on the engine cover. Not sure how else to explain it but what is the direct injection how does that sound.

The direct injection sounds like ticking.

HMM I think thats what that noise is I guess I just never notice it before.
