3M Clear Bra?
Has anyone had the 3M clear bra put on? If so, what are your thoughts. I am considering doing the front bumper only. I've learned you can also do a strip along the hood, but having a visible line, even up close is entirely unacceptable to me. If I do the front bumper, will it look dramatically different? Too glossy, or plasticky.....will it be that noticible? Also what is the cost? How long before I need to have it redone with avg city driving? Also will removing it damage the factory paint since you have to heat it to 150 degrees to get it off. Thanks for your help.

Question about the clear bra for ppl that have installed it?.....Do you go to a place to purchase the clear bra and apply it to your car itself or do you take it to a shop for them to do? Also, how much is the approx. pricing for applying the clear bra on the 3GS, including the front, headlights/foglights, side view mirrors, and side panels? Hope to clear some confusion on my part...

i would let the shop do it, trust me there is a difference (if the shop is good). go to aerotect, they are a vendor here on CL. are you in socal? they are located in socal, great prices. they did my sc430 and also the custom body kit cut
as for prices, usually it's around 500 bucks for the hood/bumper, headlights, foglights, and side mirrors. of course, different cars might be slightly different

The guy I used actually goes to your house and installs it in your garage. He's done Ferraris, Mercedes, Lexus' and it doesn't hurt that he also contracts at dealerships too. I got my front end, side mirrors, doors edges, door handles, rear bumper, fuel door all protected. Worth the money and I don't have chips on my car as I do on my other Lex.
