Oil Leaks In 06 Gs 300 Awd
#16
WHY on earth would anyone remove the entire engine and transmission to fix an oil leak? No matter how good they are putting that engine back together, it would not be as good as it was assembled from the plant. I sure hope tthey torque everything to spec and no extra bolts laying around when they put that thing back together.
If they don't give you a new car, I would get rid of that one ASAP.
I really do hope they get you a new car.

well its done..
The repair is complete. I asked the dealer why they had to remove the enigne and trasmission they stated due to the location of the leak acess was a problem and also that they changed all the seals in the engine. So they finished working on it yesterday I did not pic it up yet wanted to enjoy my weekend. So monday i will le t you all now how it is running. Lexus head office called me to apologize of all the problems and to reassure me that the car would be fine. they aslo gave me a free 30,00 mile service if that counts for anything...anyway I will keep you posted.

2006 GS300 179000 miles. Timing chain cover gasket leak also. I have tried StopLeak. Does anyone know much about ATP-205 and you think I should try?
Any response would be appreciated. I only drive 5000 miles and don’t want to purchase a new car. The car has been excellent and still looks awesome.
