CEL and VSC lights both went off today by themselves. I was going to clean the MAF sensor today, but got up this morning to drive to run an errand....no lights.

I got VSC light today and once scanned it showed code P2198. How serious is this, can I reset and keep driving, and how much should I expect from a dealer to fix it?
have you been parking outside in the country where rodents can get in?...I just picked up my 2009 RX 350 today with the same features plus difficulty starting (but ran fine when warm)....mice had nibbled on the electric lines.
2007 GS350 w/ 85k starts and shuts off almost immediately w/ Check VSC message
My 2007 GS350 w/ 85k mi starts and then shuts off almost immediately with the Check VSC message and several other lights including Check Engine (!) , P/S and VSC OFF (see pic). See check engine lights.
If I try to start the car a 2nd time, it won't even crank even if I turn it off and try again.
I tried to start it later in the day and it did exactly the same thing - starts and then shuts off immediately.
Both times, the brake pedal seemed to be firm after the first start up and didn't loosen up until much later when I tried to start it a couple of hours later.
After reading this thread, I bought a Stant brand gas cap from Orielly and tried again just to see if it was the cap. Unfortunately, no such luck.
All routine maintenance has been performed at the dealership since I bought the car except oil changes these past couple of years.
I tried reading the OBD codes but kept getting an error from my reader - guess I'm towing it to the local mechanic.
Does anyone have a similar experience or have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Update: I towed it to the local mechanic and he couldn't read the codes, so I had it towed to Lexus and they discovered a shorted Fuel Pressure Sensor - $1100 to fix.
Of course, they found a few other things which they say should be done too. :-)
