I would lik to buy a new car & am thinking about the GS. I think the right thing to do is to wait for the GS 350 & 460 to come out next year. Is there any reason to buy one now? Will the prices of the GS350 & GS 460 be significatly higher? help!

It really depends on whether you really need a new car in the near future. If not, I'd rather wait, but I think it's at least a year away. . .

i doubt it will bea 07 model since the gs hybrid will be the hype for 07, maybe 08 will be when it will be introduced, avail mid 07, 2 years from now !! I could not wait, got nine already.

As good as the GS430 engine is, (and it's a great one), I'm waiting for the 460 because of its new direct injection. That means more power AND better economy. The extra .3 liters of
displacment will mean just that little bit more torque. Can't wait 'till next spring.

While the new engine is enticing, the advantages of the New GS as it is available now include...1) it's here, 2) you get it first, 3) you don't know what you might dislike in a future GS series, so if you like the current one...

i test drove the GS 300 & GS 430 today, and I love em! I especially like the 430 of course, because it has more power. I can wait a little bit, but maybe not until 2007!! I cant wait to hear more on when the GS460 will come out 7 what its specs will be.

Do you guys see a big price increase when this new model comes out? I think typically the price will only increase marginally, right?

I'd guess only a marginal increase. As a reference, I don't think the price increase was that substantial when the GS400 became the GS430.

The 450H is the vehicle which will command a premium.

Can anybody give some opinion , is that 2007 Lexus Gs will upgrade to Gs460 or Gs500 should i wait 2007 or get the Gs430 right now ?

I am waiting because I can/should. There will be upgrades for 2007. Your decission should really be based on what the upgrades are and what they mean to you.

Or you can get the current GS. How desparate are you for a new car? If you can wait till '07 go for it, but such delayed gratification usually kills the passion for ownership. Plus, by '07 your going to have other competition on the market, so if you do not buy now, you most likely will not be buying one in '07. Plus, if you are undecided and not madly in love with the current GS then it is probably not the right vehicle to buy period. Buy something that you would donate your right ******** for. They you will know it is true love.
