Moon roof operation
When the "Open" button is pushed for 1 second, the moon roof is suppose to open automatically. I haven't been able to do that. Am I doing something wrong?

If it's even slightly tilted, it won't open. Try pressing both the close and the down buttons to make sure it's fully closed. Then try to open it.
If that doesn't work, then I'd have to say it's broken. Did it ever work?

it is also possible the dealer forgot to program it.
i am not sure about the new GS, but when i got my RX 2 yrs ago when it first came out, the dealer hadn't programmed the 1-touch operation yet. i used the instructions in the manual to do it myself. but again, not sure if the GS came pre-programmed from japan . . .

Correct, it may not be programmed correctly. After they fixed my car they didn't program it correctly. Apparently it is easy to do, however I will have them re-program at the dealership when I go in for service tomorrow.

The moonroof needs to be initialized. Press the slide open button and hold it until it stops on its own. Then continue to hold it for about 5 seconds. If it stops in the open position, close it and hold the button again for about 5 seconds after it stops. This should initialize the one-touch feature.

Thanks. I got it to work. There is a page in the manual that explains this. I guess I should have looked for it first.
