Default Which bluetooth phone is compatible with the new GS?

From my understanding, not all bluetooth phones will work with the new GS. So, lets all pitch in and make a list of bluetooth phones that are compatible with the new GS?

Phones that work:
-Motorola Razr
-Sony Ericsson T610
-Sony Ericsson S710a
-Treo650 w/verizon*
-Motorola E815 with verizon*
-Nokia 6230*
-LG 8100*

*=limited function. can not transfer entire phonebook to GS.

keep'm comming guys.

The Motorolla V3 RAZR works great. The only downside is that you can only transfer 1 phonebook entry from the phone into the car's phonebook at a time.

My RAZR works like a charm as well. Unfortunately none of the Verizon phones work without doing what's called a SEEM edit, or basically hacking into the phone through a computer to open up some options and capabilities, since Verizon decides to limit their bluetooth on every phone thus far.

Based on my own theory, the Samsung i730 (it's a smartphone/PDA) should work from Verizon, but I haven't been able to figure it out.

In order to work with a bluetooth car, a phone needs a profile called "OBEX", or generic object exchange.

If you need more information on bluetooth or profiles, visit this site: http://www.bluetooth.com/, or you can PM me.

LexuSteve,
I have the Sony Ericsson T616, which is probably pretty similar. I noticed on mine that it only sent over the first phone entry for each name. For instance, for my wife I have a Home, Mobile, and Work number entered. It only sent over the Home entry.

Did yours do the same? The only way I can figure to get around it is to list each number as separate name in the address book. That would be a major hassle.

Default Coolest phone for partying with bluetooth 1.1

If I remember correctly, the new GS has bluetooth 1.1. The only phone that I'm SURE has bluetooth 1.1 is the Sony/Ericsson k750i. I picked one up in Hong Kong and although it's kinda pricey ($500), the merging of three main features really rocks.

mp3 player/radio (which sounds good)+ digital camera (2MP) + phone.

I didn't send each one over to the GS. My entire (about 70 phone numbers) were sent at the same time.

From my understanding, the t616 is the same as the t610. So, you should be able to transfer your entire phone book to the gs in one single command. Once your phone is connected to the GS, go into "connectivity" and poke around. You should find an option to "send all contacts", via bluetooth. If you cant figure it out, i'll post up a guide later tomorrow.

Yeah, I was able to send my entire phone book over in one shot, but it only grabbed the first phone number for each name entry. I guess I'll have to give it another look.
