Default Bluetooth problem in GS 430

hi guys

i've bought a gs 430 5 days ago..

and i'm realy confused about the bluetooth transfer in it..

okay here's the problem:

everybody knows that the car has phone and bluetooth option.
and u can transfer ur phonebook in ur mobile to the car's phonebook.

but the problem is that when i press "start transfer" the bluetooth connection disconnects..

i've tried it with: nokia 7610 , sonyericsson k700, nokia 6630, nokia 9500
the same problem !!

i hope anybody knows about this problem and can solve it for me.

thanks

I think it has to do with the amount of oil you have in the region....contact your government about pumping more out...then the bluetooth connection will work....

the phonebook transfer depends on your phone model. i have nokia, and you cannot do a full phonebook transfer in one shot; this is true for all nokias. i get the same error that you reported. you must transfer each entry one by one. it is a pain.

check here for more info on your brand/model instructions for BT transfer:

I mean getting it working in the Lexus. I hear the Treo 650 needs a patch to work on the Lexus.

I was not able to download from that page, but found this one worked fine. Looks the same, otherwise. Maybe it's just my case.

When your Bluetooth disconnects it is actually waiting for you the SEND your data from your phone (using your phone's keypad not the NAV). It is really a misleading response from the NAV. It should say PLEASE SEND DATA or something like that.

Now the bad part is that this task must be repeated for each phonebook entry you want transferred to NAV. After a while you will get the hang of it. Just remember that when you hit "Start Transfer" the Bluetooth has to disconnect for you to control the system with your phone and send the data to NAV.

The first part of the above response is correct; you have to start the phonebook transfer from the phone. However, you may be able to send the entire phonebook in one shot. I'm able to do this on my SE K700i phone. Just go to the phonebook advanced option menu and begin the transfer from there. It takes a couple of minutes for my 40 or so entries.

thanks guys..

now i got the point.. but still one thing confusing me !!

when i want to send the phonebook entry (one by one).. i have to send it to "HANDSFREE"

'cause i've searched many times .. i got only handsfree .. and it's the only way to communicate with car by bluetooth !!

if i've to send them to "HANDSFREE" .. it doesn't work

please, help me

i'm realy got sucked with the system .. i think my bmw 530 is much easier !!

I am having problems getting my Bluetooth feature to work as well. My Sony Ericsson T68 says it found and added "HANDSFREE," though the Lexus screen shows an error ("connection failure, unable to add phone"). The phone is a rather old model, which may be the case, as it may not have up to date software, etc. like the Lexus owner's manual suggests. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

the T68 works - i tried it myself once. mine was old also, no firmware upgrade or anything like that. did you enter the passcode when the Lexus system prompted you to?
