New member - from Acura TL to GS!!
Hello everyone! Stoked to be here, and proud to own a new (to me) 2008 GS350:
1. 2008 GS350
2. RWD
3. Graphite Grey
4. Beautiful 18s in great shape
5. Spoiler
6. Black with rosewood
7. First time Lexus owner, bought it recently at Carmax for $20K at 56K miles. Upgraded from a 2006 Acura TL; this car feels much more premium, and all around just a better car. Really enjoying it. Some interesting details I noted after living with the car for 3 weeks:
- Previous owner seems to have not waxed the car... ever. Car has a healthy dose of contaminants on the clear-coat, but it comes off after some clay and polish, revealing a gorgeous shine.
- When I got the car, directional headlights were non-functional. Carmax is reportedly ordering new ones to install on the car at their cost (thank goodness!).
- Driver's side spot is 'blinky' every once in a while when the door is opened... might need to replace light or contacts, but not sure which at this point. Will be asking the community for help on this...
- Rearview mirror-mounted garage door openers appear to be non-functional... can't seem to program them no matter what I do. Would immensely appreciate a forum link on that topic, if it exists.
- Car makes a pretty distinct 'clicking' sound at idle; dealer reports this is hydraulic lifters, and I took him at his word. This may be a dumb question, but maybe someone out there can confirm that...
Outside of those funky issues, car is fantastic. Great on-road feel, solid performance, and unbelievable mileage for a car of that size with that engine.
Coming to you all from Southern California! Looking forward to contributing to the community.

The "clicking" you here is the D-4S Twin Injection Fuel System, that is to say that the car has both port and direct injection. Direct injection has a very distinct "clicking" at idle.

I got one! 2008 GS460
Hey folks, glad to be here!
1. Model GS460
2. RWD
3. Smokey Granite Mica
4. 20" forged TSW with Yokohama S-drive. 245/35/20 front, 275/30/20 rear
5. Spoiler
6. Interior color: Black
7. I'll be the 3rd owner. Dealer I got it from put on the rims and the lowering kit. It has Tien s-tech springs which I'm actually having them return to stock because the front tires are rubbing pretty bad. Not sure what a good combo is but I'm sure I'll find the information here. The look and ride are great, it's too bad for the rubbing though.

I just recentlypurchased a 2006 Lexus GS430. Rwd, 4.3L V8, Grey Exterior, Black interior. 73k miles. I love it so far! I'm looking for black rubber floor mats for the car. Has anyone had any experience with weathertech laser designed ones? Do they look ok? Any other suggestions, I know the weather tech ones are pricey.
