Modded GS400s...anyone looking to change cars around April?
First of all, I don't think this should be in the WTB thread since I am trying to gather more of a general interest, but mods feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
The cars in my signature are my parents car in case that causes any confusion. Currently I am driving an Acura Integra (the 3rd car we had leased for my sis, who is now in college), and the lease will be running up on that car May 1st of 2004. I am looking to spend about 24-26k on my car, or if I decide to lease a car around $400 a month (in this case obviously purchasing). After driving my dad's GS quite a bit and seeing the gorgeous modded GS's on this site, I have basically decided on getting a GS400. I've seen 1998-1999 GS400s go for a tad under 20k, so I figure the extra money plus by the cheaper cost of the cars when I am ready to buy will leave me some good money for modding, but I would like to purchase a GS400 with mods on it already. I have yet to see a modded GS on CL that I haven't liked, so I am not too picky there. I am looking for cosmetic as well as performance mods (rims, bodykit, suspension mod, torque converter, subs, tvs, etc.) I think for about 26k I should be able to get a nicely done 98-99 GS400, and was wondering if anyone is looking to switch cars around then. The reason I am asking around now is because finding modded GS's for sale are pretty rare, and I guess I'd like to keep my options open if need be. Thanks in advance...hopefully I can find a nice GS .

You're right about finding a modded gs FOR SALE. They don't come by very often and usually the owners strip the mods out to sell individually. However, if you keep an eye in our classified section, sometimes you will see a member sell his car with everything included. I have also seen some modded GS's for sale on Ebay. Good luck with finding your GS. Remember one thing...... It's more fun to build your own car than to just buy someone elses.

LXOGOOD, thanks for the advice...the reason I am thinking about buying an already modded car is because I figure I will save a good amount on the mods than buying them new (its hard to find preowned body kits, etc.). Also, I haven't exactly looked into this, but maybe someone here can help me out, if I were to purchase a stock GS400 for lets say 19k, would it be possible for me (well actually my parents) to have a car loan for like 26k, even though its only a 19k car? Thanks.

if you take out a loan from a bank or credit union then you could get more than the amount of the car for a loan but the car dealership (assuming thats where you go) would most likely only get you financed for the amount of the car.
