hawk500sl, thank you for sharing that information. Like I said, if I can do it all over again, I would pick the $33K Lexus certified car over the $28.5K non-certified one and not worry about any problem later on.

Any way my car is perfect in regard to its performance, very clean inside, and look like new on the outside. The only regret I had now is that the front hood chips so easily. I did notice on the car that I did not buy for $33K did not has a single chip on its hood. Strange. That was why I suspect my car's hood was repainted.

Congratulation on your new GS4 and welcome to the club. GS4 is a great car. I was looking for a replacement of my 90 Toyota Cressida, went to Lexus dealer for the ES, saw the GS, and felt inlove with it. I did some research online and decide to get a 2000 GS4 model because I want performance + affordable. New GS430 costs too much for me.

I must agree that I like the 2000 rear like better than newer model.

If you are planning on modding like every one else here, then definitely you should get Daizen sway bars (front and rear). It costs me $500.00. Very easy to install. It reduces the body roll (bounceness of the car) significantly. I notice that you car has 17" wheels. Unless you want to drop your car, I suggest not to replace the shock and spring unless you go for the coil over, which costs about $1300.00. I had Eibach shocks and Bilstein shocks and not very happy with it. It is too stiff compare to stock. I might some day put the stock springs and shocks back on my car.
