Default Pulling a JetSki!!!!!!

Everyone may think I am nutz but I just got done installing a small trailer hitch for my 2000 gs 300. I have a kawasaki ultra 150 two seater jet ski that I needed to pull around every now and then so I had to install thi ****ch. It doesn't look that bad either. You can only see a little peice of the hitch from the back. I will post pics in a little while. How bad *** will I look pulling up to the boat ramp with 20' Lowenhart BR'5's and a sick jet ski behinfd me. Kinda funny in a way. Please don't torture me too much over this, it isn't that heavy of a jetski to pull.

Is it a JDM Carbon Fiber tow hitch? Or at least chrome for some bling

Edit: coming from somone who has launched plenty of towed boats.... Depending on the slope of the ramp, you're going to need to dip some part the back of your car into the water.... that's probably not good for the rear transaxle, etc for a vehicle that isn't made to go off road. I assume that stuff is all sealed and greased, but I personally wouldn't risk it with my GS.

Nope a small little class 1 delan hitch. I may paint it white to match the color of the car but for now had to get it up there to pick up my jet ski.

Dave is right, especially if you go into sea water........it's gonna get real bad........Why don't you just get another pickup truck?

The hitch itself will not look bad because it is made to withstand the water. I had one on my maxima and never had a problem. Plus a pickup truck is a lot more expensive than a $100 hitch.

Well it is a Delan custom hitch. They are a manufacturer that my shop deals with. I manage a car audio shop but we also do hitches. We usually only sell drawtite but they didn't have a hitch available for the gs so I called this place and they had one. It is a class one hitch and only cost $105!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. That is our cost. I will post pics at lunch time.

Easiest way is to resize them so they are smaller. You can also put them in the gallery (up to a size limit) and put a URL here linking to the pictures.

I have had a hitch on all my "cars". I started off with a 92' Acura Integra pulling my 4000lb. comp ski boat. Then went to a 95' Acura Legend, still pulling the same boat. With the Legend I took the boat everywhere, up in the mountains, never had a problem. I used to laugh at the people that made fun of me as they were spinning their wheels trying to pull their boat out on a steep ramp and I would pull my boat right out with no wheel spin, and pass right buy them. And these were all front wheel drive cars. I have a truck now, but I hate trucks no comfort.
My last car a 3.5RL I built a hidden hitch for it, and it worked great. I didn't tow my boat with it but I have a utility trailer that I use if I have to go out of town to pick up parts.
This weekend I am going to build a hidden hitch for my GS, cause the second week of next month I have to go out of town to pick some stuff up and I don't want to drive my truck.
I would take pics and post them but being a hidden hitch you really can't see anything. It's really simple to make for the GS from looking under there. I use a 2" reciever so that if I ever need to go to the tool rental store they won't turn me away, cause most of them that I have dealt with won't let you take anything without a 2" reciever.

Hmm, while we're on this subject, the GS300 I bought already has a hitch like the one in the pic above.

So I have a MR2 race car project, the car will probably weigh about 1,700 lbs. when we are done with it. Do you think it would be a problem towing this with the GS?
