forgot to update this....

i finally did this a few weeks ago as the car is going back to be repainted and i want this bumper protected (i already broke this delrin as it was to thin, so im gonna finally cut it out of the 8" high x 8" wide x 1" thick black piece i bought

I would have personally left the bracket flat and welded it to the side of the tow hook. That way you could weld all the way around the outside of the hook and on the inside. That would have also reinforced the hook


These are a really good idea though. I can't even imagine scraping a freshly painted bumper

Bumping an old thread. With sakatj's skid plate PDF, I found a local guy in my area who would fabricate the skid plates for me at 48 bucks a piece, but he needed the actual CAD file in order to make them. So I had my brother convert the PDF to DWG file and I'll be passing this onto the fabricator. For anyone who needs the DWG file then I've attached it with this response. Also, I attached the CAD drawing for the delrin piece. FYI, I had to rename the files to a text format. Just remove the .txt from the end and you should be good.

now that i need to repaint my bumper again i will look to fix this AGAIN. i need to find that giant black delrin sheet i have cause i dont wanna buy it again. the bolts i used last time didnt hold and broke shortly after and that white delrin was to thin and broke. i still have the plates welded on the car so hopefully i can finish this once and for all
